From Pain to Gain
When you book in for a session at Coast Hypnosis, you may be surprised to learn that letting go of an addiction is not about ‘giving something up’.
The focus here is on recovering what has been missing, conscious or unconscious, giving you a greater sense of your authentic self, without the need to fill it from without.
We have some of the best techniques currently available to deal with the drivers of addiction such as loneliness and emptiness.
For others it may just be habitual behaviour that has been with you for so long that you feel it may be like something is missing when thinking of finding yourself without it.

Addictions are not indicative of a person who is sick or diseased, nor a person who is damaged. There is simply something going on that needs realignment.
All addictions generally have a common trait. They are effective at temporarily reducing inner pain.
But there is an irony to this. They also ultimately lead to ever increasing that same inner pain long–term.
Neurologically, the addictive substance, emotional state or habitual behaviour mask underlying negative feelings. They effect the chemical activity in the brain/body, activating certain substances to make you feel good. The problem is that those same chemicals become depleted and more of the addictive activity is needed to get the same result.
It is a vicious cycle that will ultimately need to be addressed. Willpower is seldom able to break that cycle but very effective solutions are available here.
